Sleep

She falls asleep sometimes. If she takes over 175mg THC it’s going to knock her out, even if it’s not all at once. She takes 125mg to start and that’s kind of essential. Then if we’re going for a while, she might want more a few hours later, and that’s going to put her to sleep for sure, I just have to hope I get 30-60 minutes of super-drugged wife before I get unconscious wife.

So last week she fell asleep on me two nights in a row, once from too much weed and once from just being tired. When she falls asleep, she doesn’t usually know. She’ll wake up later and she doesn’t know how she got to that moment, but she doesn’t know she was sleeping. Sometimes I’ll ask her “do you need to sleep?” and she’ll says she’s fine, then fall asleep again a few minutes later.

So one time she fell asleep after a couple hours of fucking and I was like, “ok, she’s done, but she’s hot, I can sit here and jack off” but that felt too weird, you know, she was asleep so I couldn’t get consent and I’m not sure that’s essential, really, in that circumstance but as soon as you ask the question, even in your head, you have to get a positive answer before you can continue.

It’s kind of like when I’m sitting there knowing my hands need washing, because I’ve had fingers and thumbs up her ass, but I don’t want to stop what I’m doing with her, but it’s hard to keep doing that thing without thinking about not touching things with my hand (if you’re new here, she gets UTIs pretty easily so we’re very careful not to mix front and back), so it’s a lot better to just go wash my hands instead of sitting there thinking about washing my hands. Well, maybe it’s not so much like that. But you can’t act without consent once it has occurred to you that you might need consent. That’s a mood killer, as she put it just now while reading this draft over my shoulder.

She also just reminded me that I had always intended to be clear and say: I fall asleep sometimes too. Not as often as her! But I’m just as bad about thinking and protesting–“what, I didn’t fall asleep!”–as she is, probably worse.
